How are you taking action to tackle climate change and support a circular economy? We’re currently calling for individuals, schools, businesses, governments, and organizations from all provinces and territories to submit a short video clip that shows off how you are taking action. The result? A series of engaging and inspiring videos that showcase how Canadians are advancing the circular economy and encourage others to join. The first video was a resounding success!

How to participate

There are two participation opportunities. Video requirements are different between the two, so please read carefully.

The first is for your clip to be included in the Celebrating Community Action video, similar to the video above.

The second is for your clip to be featured in the spotlight section of the Circular Connector, the official newsletter of Circular Economy Month.

Send us a short video clip demonstrating something you, your team, or leader/executive did to celebrate Circular Economy Month. Some examples of actions to show:

  • Choose reuse: eating or drinking out of reusable containers
  • Shop at a bulk / refill / zero waste store
  • Feature an initiative or program in your community (i.e. repair café, library, food bank, bike share, or local pilot project).
  • Shop thrift / secondhand, donating, or swapping
  • Repair a broken item
  • Take sustainable transportation
  • Pick up litter and sort waste
  • An event hosted during the campaign
  • Cook a recipe with leftover food… etc
