Yonge Eglinton Centre in Toronto, Ontario has managed to increase the property’s waste diversion rate from 30% in 2023 to 66% in 2024. A large contributor to this amazing improvement is due to the YEC Circular Organics Program which was introduced this year. Simply put, organic waste is collected from tenants and guests daily, turned into compost onsite, and repurposed in several impactful and innovative ways.
