This Circular Economy Month we want to feature how Canadians are taking action to tackle climate change and support a circular economy! We’re currently calling for individuals, schools, businesses, governments, and organizations from coast to coast to submit a short video clip that shows off how you are taking action. The result? A series of engaging and inspiring videos that showcase how Canadians are advancing the circular economy and encourage others to join. The first video will launch for Circular Economy Month in October, with additional videos planned for the month-long campaign.
How to participate
Send us a video clip of you, your team, or leader/executive at your organization saying that you are celebrating Circular Economy Month this October and show one way you are taking action. Some examples of actions to show:
- Choose reuse: eating or drinking out of reusable containers
- Showcase your business’ circular product or service
- Tell us about your organization’s circular commitments and achievements
- Shop at a bulk / refill / zero waste store
- Feature an initiative or program in your community (i.e. repair café, library, food bank, bike share, or local pilot project).
- Shop thrift / secondhand, donating, or swapping
- Repair a broken item
- Take sustainable transportation
- Pick up litter and sort waste
- Cook a recipe with leftover food… etc
Get creative! Video clips are encouraged to be short (about 30 seconds max), ideally shot in portrait, can include your organization’s branding (if applicable), and can be simply filmed on a smartphone. Please submit video clips by emailing info@circulareconomymonth.ca by September 16, 2024, for a chance to be featured in the campaign launch video on October 1st. Any submissions received after this date will be considered for other campaign videos.
This video series will be seen by thousands of individuals across Canada during October 2024 and beyond and is a great opportunity to celebrate your efforts. You or your organization’s name will be shown in the credits where credit space is available. We hope you will consider being part of our efforts to inspire Canadians to take action this October. If you have any questions or would like more information, please email the Circular Economy Month team: info@circulareconomymonth.ca
